I’ve been working with Architecture Minnesota magazine on a couple of different projects; one of them is an ongoing series of environmental portraits. The feature is called “Inspiration” and shows different Minnesota architects inside one of their favorite Minnesota buildings—not a building they designed, but one they draw inspiration from. The photos accompany an interview, which tells the reader about the architect and why they’re inspired by this particular space.
I was approached by the magazine to do this assignment because the editor admired how I was able to photograph both architecture and people. It has been a rewarding challenge to plan and execute each one of these shoots. In addition to the printed magazine, I also provide content for the magazine’s Instagram account.
